Pune Bus Guide, as the name suggests, is a web site containing information about Public Transport Bus Service in City of Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad and surrounding areas, run by PMPML.The web site is an attempt to provide up-to-date bus time tables, complete details of various routes along with an interactive map to help users find directions to go from one place to another using Public Transport.

What is available on Pune Bus Guide? [TOP]

To answer this question shortly, here is brief list of things available on this site:

  • Route wise time table of PMPML bus service. See Download page for details.
  • Bus stop wise time table of PMPML bus service for all bus stops. See Download page for details.
  • An interactive route finder to help users find directions from one place to another using public transport network (PMPML).This tool is available on a digital map of city showing entire PMPML bus network along with vital information such as road network, landmarks, hospitals, schools and so on.
  • Route wise maps showing details such as first bus, last bus and timetable of each route.
  • Mobile based application for accessing PMPML schedule using GPRS or SMS facility. See Download page for details.

Who is intended user of this site? [TOP]

Obvious users of this system are citizens of Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and surrounding areas, who wish to use Public Bus Service.However, we also wish to attract those who are using either their own vehicles or other private modes of transport currently and would like to switch to Public Transport.We believe making information such as routes & time table and by providing an easy to use map tool will help people use this safer and cheaper alternative mode of transport and in the process help our city become clean and congestion free.

Does this site give me real time information on bus movement? [TOP]

This site does NOT give real time information on bus movement.It only provides schedule information which is static.Actual operations may change as per availability of vehicles and staff.

How do I see complete information of a particular route number? [TOP]

You can go to Download page and use Route wise time table option to see details of a particular route.Select any route of your choice from list provided and you will get a page showing list of bus stops in both UP and DOWN direction, and timings of buses.If you want, same can also be printed for future use.Use Print option for this.

How do I see time table of all buses passing through a particular bus stop? [TOP]

You can go to Download page and use Bus stop wise time table option to see details of a particular bus stop.Select any bus stop of your choice from list provided and you will get a page showing list of all route numbers which pass through that bus stop.If you want, same can also be printed for future use.Use Print option for this.

How frequently is the time table updated ? [TOP]

We are planning to update this schedule regularly.No decision has been taken by PMPML yet on use of a schedule management tool for keeping their schedule up to date.We are following up with them for this.As and when a decision is taken on this, we will announce the same here.Till then, we plan to build a sustainable model around this site through advertising and other value added service to support effort of schedule update.
